NACORIA named 2010 Most Outstanding Irrigators Association

Napal-Conel Road Irrigators Association, Inc. (NACORIA) of General Santos City bested several irrigators association all over the country and was named the 2010 Most Outstanding Irrigators Association of the National Irrigation System (NIS) Category.

The said award was given to the local group for its exemplary showing of performance in managing, maintaining and sustaining the operation of irrigation systems as well as providing top of the line services among farmers/irrigators.

Last July 14-16, 2011 with some of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) officials from General Santos together with the committee chairperson of Food and Agriculture - Hon. Eduardo D. Leyson IV, they went to Manila to received the prestigious award in front of several irrigators association officials.

Back in Gensan, the honorable city councilor Ed Leyson IV authored and passed a resolution congratulating NACORIA for grabbing the citation from the National Government headed by its President - Mr. Danilo Ea. With no hesitation from the Sanggunian Panlungsod members, they approved the said resolution.

No doubt the Generals are not only champions of sports but also champions in enhancing and developing irrigated agriculture thus making it  the model to other neighboring city's irrigators association.
