Although this post may seem too late, what matters most is that this activity has been presented through the site of Hon. Eduardo D. Leyson IV.
Last September 20-21, 2011 the Department of Agriculture hosted a road show specifically for agricultural machinery and equipment used in farms to boost mechanization in the country. Themed as "AgriMach2011", different suppliers, dealers and importers both local and foreign showcased their farm machinery and equipment.
The AgriMach Roadshow encourages farmers to mechanize their farm operations thus increasing their productivity and income. The roadshow also encourages Filipino youth in pursuing agriculture and fishery related courses by granting them educational scholarships. This is one strategy of the Department of Agriculture (DA) in challenging these young Filipinos in making them participate actively in agricultural related government programs.

According to study conducted in the 90's the Philippines has a very low level of mechanization in terms of farming. The DA sees the AgriMach as one of the key factors in achieving a mechanize system in agriculture that will help boost and optimize the use of modern agricultural machinery. With this, future yields and income of farmers will increase.
