After the launching of the Batch 43 Kabalikat Sa Kabuhayan Farmers Training Program in Barangay Ligaya, General Santos City last June 7, 2012, here comes the Harvest Festival! Today, September 12, 2012 at Barangay Ligaya, farmers trained during the 4 month span were about to harvest fully grown vegetables.

With SM Foundation Inc., and its partners namely the Local Government Unit of General Santos headed by its chief executive Mayor Darlene Magnolia R. Antonino-Custodio with City Agriculturist Merlinda Donasco and Committee Chairperson on Food & Agriculture Eduardo D. Leyson IV, HarBest Agritech Services and the Department of Agriculture, farmers who wish to continue to learn in improving their family income by cultivating high yielding vegetables were receiving technical and educational assistance nationwide.
During the Harvest Festival at Barangay Ligaya, sponsors were invited to witness the success of the farmer-trainees and in return the sponsors again encouraged the farmers to band themselves so that they can sell their products to SM Supermarket.
